Starting in 1999, a group of members carried out a range of natural history surveys of sites near to Ledbury, visiting once a month from March to October. Records were made of all the plants, trees, fungi, birds, dormice, invertebrates and any other interesting things found. Surveys were of many varying sites including woodland and reclaimed farmland, ancient estates and areas of the Malvern hills.
The results of each survey were published in a report which was distributed to members and local libraries, as well as the Herefordshire Biological Records Centre (HBRC), so contributing to knowledge of the county’s natural history..
